Japanese Wagyu A5 is famous all over the world for its unmatched buttery feel, umami taste, and unbelievable melt in the mouth juiciness. In Japan, the extensive assessment process to grade the beef consists of a letter and a number. The format measures A to C (yield grade), followed by 1 to 5 (for the quality). "A" is the highest grade yield, with "5" as the highest grade quality score.
Wagyu fat, like the beef is different. Wagyu beef has been likened to olive oil and salmon in terms of its health benefits. It has up to 300% more monounsaturated fat than normal beef due to the high marbling of the meat, as well as incredibly high omega 3 and omega 6 content.
